Our Philosphy

SOL, otherwise known as “Science Of Life” is the spiritual technology given by ancient rishis for us to recognise the true nature of Self.

Historically, the texts of Yoga and Ayurveda are shared as a way of life and ideology rather than feel-good experiences. Through committed self-inquiry and holistic practices, we identify the root cause of our suffering, and gradually refine our resolutions and experiences, to live closer to our Truth.

LIVE YOUR TRUTH

At SOL House, we offer holistic programmes that uphold the integrity of these highly revered and deeply profound teachings. Our offerings are curated for you to lead a simple & optimal life that represents your True Essence.

About Yoga

Traditional Yoga is a vast body of knowledge with a specific goal — Moksha. The process of Yoga is said to bring about a total personality transformation that liberates an individual from illusions of ‘limited’ self-identity (ego-transcendence). In Yogic science, the self is the experimenter, the self is the laboratory and the self itself is observed and studied.

About Ayurveda

Ayurveda is the ancient Indian system of natural and holistic medicine. Loosely translated, Ayur means “longevity” or “life” and Veda means “science”. In Ayurveda, the knowledge is passed down to eliminate the root cause of a problem area, rather than putting a band-aid as a quick fix. Ayurveda primarily focused on personalised health as everyone has a unique body type, temperament and emotions.

In essence, Ayurveda aims to increase Ojas, the substance that nourishes and connects our mind, body and spirit. The mind is seen as a tool for intention, for how we want to live our life: the body is a tool to become what we want to be; and the spirit, the omnipresent that fills our being with vibration, gives us the power to lead the life we want.

The SOL Team.

Founder & Bodywork Therapist — Candice

Ayurveda found Candice four years ago, after what seemed like a long and frustrating battle to find a cure for hormonal imbalance and Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

After multiple trials and errors with various medical approaches, Ayurveda felt like the perfect match. Its holistic and non-invasive method works in alignment with each individual’s unique body rhythms and treats beyond the surface of a medical condition.

Candice is a certified CIBTAC Ayurvedic Bodywork Therapist and the founder of SOL House. She completed her 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2021 and most recently, a 100-hr Meditation Facilitator Training in 2024. Both of these deep immersions emphasise on the transformative power of Yoga as a way of life, and not just physical postures executed on the mat. In her people-centric vocation, she came to cherish the solitude and silence that meditation offers to develop honest intimacy with the self.

It is Candice’s goal to offer a safe and non-judgmental space for sincere seekers to learn and explore the wisdom of Yoga & Ayurveda.

Bodywork Therapist — Ida

Ida is a multi-disciplinary wellness guide with a passion for bringing people home to their bodies. She offers her craft in various modalities centred around fitness, yoga, bodywork and healing music. In much of her life, she struggled with severe depression and burnout, battling a difficult relationship with her body and food. Moving through these struggles brought her deep healing and gave her deep wisdom of what life and true health is really about. Her lived experience is weaved within all that she shares in her work.

To her, true health is about living life as authentically as one can, bringing us into our most radiant and alive state. She is called to the practices of Ayurveda and Yoga due to their holistic, mystical nature which not only provide a guide for health, but a way to live an aligned life. Through bodywork, Ida wishes to guide people home to their inherent sacred connection to themselves and their bodies. She wishes to create a space where all feel safe and held to welcome all parts of themselves.

Bodywork Therapist — Weiqi

For Weiqi, self-care could be a long Mysore practice, a well-intentioned touch, a prayer or abandoning all practices and just having a huge plate of beehoon with kopi in the morning. Weiqi is very fortunate to be able to find different passions at different stages of her life. For over a year she has been obsessed with massage and all kinds of bodywork, learning and also receiving from different schools and beautiful souls. Being able to work with her hands, moving through her body, and serving another person with her heart has been magic and a great honor.

As a yoga practitioner, she is naturally drawn to the Ayurvedic perspective of the body, mind, soul and interconnectedness to the universe. In Ayurvedic bodywork, she finds her different passions and beliefs coming together, falling into place.  At SOL House, she hopes to provide a safe and nourishing space, for whatever is and will be, to be.
